For me, the two styles of the one grape show its ability to adapt to the dining table. Grigio – picked early and associated with the Italian style – has wonderful bright acid, crisp green apple and pear suited to good times with friends by the poolside. Gris is French Alsacation style – a riper and richer body with yellow apple and riper pears, suited to grilled fish or roast chicken.
We’re enjoying obethal Road and Tiefenbrunner.
