Barbera

The most widely planted grape variety in the north-west Italian region of Piedmont. Piedmont is well known for Nebbiolo, but Barbara is the grape of the people – the wine that is enjoyed soon after vintage and goes with just about anything. Flavours of dark cherry, plum, blackberry, violet and nutmeg.
