The 2021 Batard-Montrachet Grand Cru has a more complex and engaging bouquet compared to Bienvenues, with scents of citrus peel, lime and orange oith, a little more mineralite although it seems less intense than the Les Pucelles. The palate is very well balanced with flecks of white chocolate on the entry; the taut acidity keeps the tension dialled up throughout. There are lovely spicy notes, stem ginger and lemongrass on the finish that shows quite a bit og extract that lends complexity and length. Excellent 95 PTS NEAL MARTIN VINOUS
