This year we were unexpectedly offered a beautiful parcel of Nebbiolo from our friends in the Pyrenees. From the same pedigree as the ‘il regalo di compleanno’ Nebbiolo, it was an offer too good to miss. Made in an Italian style, whole bunches were gently pressed to extract a splash of colour and retain delicate aromatics. The juice was fermented long and cool by indigenous yeast and then aged on fine lees in large format old oak. The resulting wine is sophisticated, full-flavoured and complex, with lifted aromatics and finishing bone dry. In our opinion, the best Rosé Ray has ever made! - Lethbridge
