What's in the glass: Bottled August. A big crop here, even after thinning, ripe enough fruit, based around apples, medium bodied, neither dilute nor concentrated, just a little flesh showing, so this Bourgogne Chardonnay will be accessible soon. Joseph did not see it being this good at the harvest. He says it was not very interesting early on during its elevage either. But after racking in the spring, it started to come together, and has ended up as a very nice example. JASPER MORRIS, INSIDE BURGUNDY
