WINEMAKING GRAPES ARE HARVESTED WITHIN A WEEK OF EACH OTHER AND ADDED TO THE SAME TANK FOR AN EXTENDED CO-FERMENTATION. DESTEMMED ON ARRIVAL THEN CRUSHED AND FERMENTED ON SKINS FOR 6 WEEKS WITH NATIVE YEASTS.
TASTING NOTE WE LOVE ORANGE WINE AND AFTER YEARS OF TRIAL AND ERROR, WE’RE THRILLED TO BE MAKING OUR OWN EXPRESSION. WE WANT THE WINE TO JUMP FROM THE GLASS IN THE FRESHEST POSSIBLE WAY, WITH PLENTY OF BRIGHT FLOWERS, ZESTY CITRUS AND TENSION ON THE PALATE. IT’S TAKEN TIME TO FIND THE VINEYARDS THAT BEST SUIT OUR STYLE AND TO PERFECT OUR TECHNIQUE IN THE WINERY. CURRENTLY UNDERGOING A RENAISSANCE, THE RIVERLAND IS POSSIBLY ONE OF THE MOST EXCITING REGIONS IN AUSTRALIA RIGHT NOW. INITIALLY ESTABLISHED AS SOLDIER SETTLEMENTS AFTER THE WORLD WARS, IT IS NOW HOME TO SOME SERIOUSLY OLD VINES, HISTORY AND CULTURE.
