We picked the 2021 Viognier over two weeks to balance the freshness and vitality of the earlier pick with the richness and opulence of grapes that have spent longer on the vine. On the nose, rich exotic aromas of apricot, mango and vanilla come together with elegant, lifted notes of honeysuckle, orange blossom and rosewater. The palate continues the theme, marrying depth, volume and richness, with a structure that offers tension, texture and controlled power. Enjoyable now or over the next 3-4 years. – Sandra de Pury

Crushed and destemmed with several hours' skin contact and matured for 10 months in large format oak. Bright gold with green tinges. Richer and more opulent than last year's wine but equally compelling. A heady mix of apricots, just ripened mangoes, orange blossom honey and a little freshly grated ginger. Voluptuous, silken textured and with excellent balance on the palate. Finishes focused and long. A hedonistic wine that's probably best enjoyed in its youth. 95 points.
