What's in the glass: The cool 2021 season is at the forefront here. An incredibly complex and rich wine. The clay-based soil of the Original and Alan’s Cabernets vineyards plays a large role in its character. Brilliant red in colour. Aromas of black and blue fruits alongside strap liquorice, wet stone and earth. It’s almost like you can smell tiny hints of fresh clay from a potter’s wheel. Rich and abundant tannins frame flavours of inky black fruits, quince, cloves, Chinese five-spice with a subtle hint of oak sweetness. The delightful natural acids play a part in the astonishing mouth-watering length of this wine. The 2021 Duck Muck is a wine that leads to contemplation and delight. Matured in 100% new French oak for 22 months. Cellaring potential – 25+ years. 16.3% Vol
