Region: Beechworth
Variety: Chardonnay
What's in the glass: Muto goes to Beechworth. Didn’t see this coming, but can’t say that I’m complaining. This is a characterful chardonnay with good flavour, enough texture and complexity, and plenty of both punch and interest through the finish. This is excellent buying. Grapefruit, stonefruit, a flash of smoky/meaty oak and a lemon fresh note through the finish, combined with rust/mineral notes. Ripper buying/drinking here. 92-93, opted for the higher. Drink 2025 - 2030.
