What's in the glass: The first release from our young Refosco vines, planted at Mollers Lane in Spring 2021. This inaugural vintage is bright, energetic and true to the variety.
Originally from Friuli in northeastern Italy, Refosco dal Peduncolo Rosso takes its name from the variety’s distinctive red stems. Aromas of sour red cherry, wild blackberry and plum lead into a palate defined by vibrant acidity and impressive natural structure. Firm, finely woven tannins provide shape and length, balancing the fruit and drawing the wine towards a distinctly savoury finish.
Made with a minimal-intervention approach and matured exclusively in stainless steel, the focus is on purity, freshness and allowing the variety and site to speak clearly. Bottled unfined and unfiltered, this is a youthful yet characterful wine with energy, structure and plenty of personality.
