What's in the glass: ICARO is a small, immensely exciting project by four passionate friends. Their mission is to revitalise and reintroduce the world to the wines of Romani Castelli (Roman Castles) and they’re doing a stellar job. Farming is organic and everything from grape to bottle is done by hand.

Operaio is 60% native variety Nero Buono balanced in equal parts by Malvasia di Candia and Trebbiano, fermented and raised in fibreglass over seven months. Paradoxically savoury and refreshing, closed by a frighteningly moreish amaretto finish. Import Notes
