What's in the glass: For years, I was telling Dad that he should remove his precious Verdelho vines.. he was surprised when I asked him for the fruit. It's a thick-skinned white variety so I figured it would be perfect for a textural, user-friendly orange wine. Fermented on skins for one week, aged in older oak for six months then bottled sans fining and filtration. The 2023 Tropicana is a blend of Verdelho and Sauvignon Blanc. It's full of tropical vibes and citrus with great texture and mouth filling phenolics. Super fun drinking, with or without food.
