What' in the glass: Grown on the classic Arbois terroir of thick clay and blue marl over limestone, this chardonnay presents all the richness and exuberant aromatics of the ripest kind. But its cool, northern climate is revealed by a striking acidic freshness through the backbone. The whole package is rounded off by lovely creamy, sweet and spicy notes, surprisingly derived only from soil and grape (this wine has seen no wood). 24 months ageing in concrete tanks.
