What's in the glass: "There is something to love about the tension and contrast you get from exceptional Chardonnay in a cool year. There is such clarity and precision to this wine that rides the subtle textural and nuanced influences of winemaker and oak but always returning to a pristine expression of place. The wine came in at 12.7% and its layers of texture are a triumph. The use of new oak and malolactic fermentation has provided richness but not at the expense of a mineral and steely citrus backbone that is contrasted by riper stone fruits. Satisfying length to finish, with a very long future ahead."  Patrick Eckel
