What's in the glass: Beautiful black cherry and blackberry flavours; fine tannins; full bodied and powerful with great structure. Made with Grenache and Caledoc fruit from a small parcel of vines just outside the Châteauneuf-du-Pape boundary. Clos Saint Jean are one of the hottest producers in the Rhône and their top wines sell for hundreds - this is a bargain. Ready to drink on release but has the structure to age for several years. Ideal with equally powerful dishes - try it with a bold stew.
