What's in the glass: Tends to be a little softer in tannin, focusing on red fruit – strawberries, cherries. Light, soft soil facing south is one of their warmer sites. The vineyard is vertical, with an altitudinal difference of 200m from top to bottom!! The top is used for the single vineyard; the bottom with more clay (less complexity) goes into the Barolo DOCG. This is also the first Cru site that was purchased by the family, in what was to be a momentously inlfuencil move that has shaped the region as we know it today.
