The wine is made from indigenous grapes (80% Nerello ZMascalese, 20% Nerello Cappuccio) cultivasted in the vineyards owned by the Russo family since 1860. The Grapevines are grown in the rich fertile mineral rich volcanic soils surrounding Mt Etna.
