Region: Piedmont
Variety: Nebbiolo
What's in the glass:Giacosa’s Nebbiolo d’Alba uses fruit from Roero, with a long history alongside the Arneis and Nebbiolo Valmaggiore. The first bottling of both Arneis and Nebbiolo d’Alba occurred in 1974, sourced from the same growers. Arneis is grown on North-facing slopes, while Nebbiolo comes from the South. This Nebbiolo defies its humble DOC, with a distinct profile from Langhe Nebbiolo. It’s an elegant,high-toned wine, marked by restrained power and showcasing the young Nebbiolo of Giacosa's range.
