What's in the glass: The 2022 Duck Muck is incredibly dense in every aspect. Inky in its own way. Showing the hallmarks of the dryer and warmer 2022 vintage when compared to 2021 DM. This wine is a powerhouse. On the nose, black and red fruits abound, with pepper, spice, clove and liquorice all singing. The palate is filled with lashings of basket fresh red, blue and black fruit, mixed in with nutmeg, cinnamon stick, graphite and earth. The tannins are long and full, coating the entire mouth. Astonishing length, with precise balance for such a massive wine. Matured in 100% new French oak for 22 months prior to bottling. Unfined and unfiltered. 16.2% Vol. Cellaring potential of 25+ years. Packaged in individual wooden boxes.
