The 2023 growing season started off cold and wet. Our dam was full, and overflowed for most of October and November. Budburst was slightly behind average timing, but crops were down significantly. The rain stopped in December and we saw some warmth and sunshine late in the growing season. Quality was good: with fresh acidity, concentration, colour, tannin and steady fermentations.
