What's in the glass: Aromas of wild strawberry and raspberry pie. Five spice, nutmeg and floral components in this vintage are particularly lifted and vibrant.

Just-ripe cherry, plum sauce, and Sichuan pepper dominate the soft entry to the palate, with an added layer of confected fruit and spice from the whole bunch component. Lattice like tannins define the structure and are well integrated, carrying the wine to great depth. There is an intriguing savoury character to the wine, but the finish is allfruit sweetness that will fill out more over time.
