Join us at Tulip Restaurant on Thursday October 2nd, as we unveil the new 2024 Chardonnay and Pinot Noir releases, alongside a curated menu designed to highlight the wines' elegance, tension, and power. These wines have become benchmarks for cool-climate Australian Chardonnay and Pinot, admired by collectors and sommeliers worldwide.

Shaw + Smith, long regarded as one of the benchmark producers in the Adelaide Hills, extended their vision in 2011 when they purchased Tolpuddle Vineyard in Tasmania’s Coal River Valley. Their stewardship transformed Tolpuddle into one of Australia’s most celebrated sites for Chardonnay and Pinot Noir, showing just how much their precision and focus on site expression could elevate a vineyard’s reputation. Building on that success, the team has recently turned their attention to McLaren Vale with the MMAD Vineyard, a new project that celebrates the region’s old-vine Grenache, Shiraz, and Chenin Blanc. Just as they did with Tolpuddle, Shaw + Smith are applying the same philosophy of respecting place, championing vineyard character, and crafting wines that speak with purity and clarity. Together, these three projects form a fascinating arc: from the cool limestone soils of the Adelaide Hills, to the windswept vineyards of southern Tasmania, and now to the historic sands of McLaren Vale.

Nick will be joined by Marion Cazorla, Market Manager at Shaw + Smith, who will take guests through nine wines from across the range throughout dinner - including the MMAD Chenin blanc, back vintage Balhannah Shiraz from Shaw + Smith and the new Tolpuddle release. 

All guests will be able to order 1 bottle of each Chardonnay and Pinot Noir from the highly anticipated release Topuddle release.
