What's in the glass: Move over Chardonnay, we gotta new oak influenced, textural white to adore - Encruzado. This wine changed our lives when we first tried it, as we don't see many white grape varieties from this part of the world exude this much complexity. This thing swallows oak like it's going out of fashion and a little reductive influence adds that Burgundian feel. White peach, lemon curd and a spritely, mineral acidity land this plane, and the length of this wine is astounding. This is our new special occasion wine - needs to be drunk to be believed.
