Region: Burgundy
Variety: 65% Pinot Noir || 35% Gamay
What's in the glass: The bouquet is lush and seductive, presenting zippy blackberry and raspberry fruit, peppered beef, mushrooms and black tea leaves. One the palate, the wine coats the mouth with a delicious mixed berry profile and silky, polished tannins. It’s a finessed rendition, something that is hard to find at this level, for enjoying with lighter dishes like pork, roast chicken, Thai beef salad, and charcuterie. Drink now by the dozen.
Also racked to tank. Pretty pink purple. Rather sweaty nose, despite being mostly pinot (10% gamay co-planted) Cleaner red fruit and a bit peppery on the palate. Pretty enough. Drink from 2024-2026. Jasper Morris, Inside Burgundy.
