The richly flavoured 2023 Shiraz really takes you on a journey. Upon opening, this wine transports you to a warm summer afternoon. The scent of sun-baked clay, dry wildflowers and warm earth spring to mind. There are wisps of pepperberry, woody herbs and briny olives, complemented by blackberry, tea leaves and bramble fruit.

With a bit of time, the dusty landscape that was conjured up, changes to something lusher and more fruit-driven. Blackcurrant, liquorice and the salty, sweet fruit of the pigface plant are what we taste. Finishing long and dry, the gentle tannins subtly provide structure to this medium bodied wine.
