What's in the glass: A comforting and sloshy red of slippery, silky texture, a plump belly and bursting-at-the-seams forest berry fruitiness. A sense of ripeness, a little stewed and with touches of figs and dates. Almost a young port character to the wine, which is fine, just a footnote. It feels good to drink, charming and gluggable, though you’ll have to lean into its apparent porty vibe, even with its fresh feel and lower alcohol feel.
