Located in the heart of the Yarra Valley in the sub region of Gruyere, Martingale is a first generation family run vineyard and now wine label. Focusing predominantly on Pinot Noir, Chardonnay and Syrah from their 40 acre property of which 20 acres is under vine.
While still supplying some of the Yarra’s finest labels with high quality fruit they have now decided to make a small amount of wine under their own label. Martingale aspires to create the very best wine from the grapes they grow each vintage. They focus their attention on growing the highest quality possible and then managing the fruit through the full wine making process. By limiting yields and restraining barrel treatment, they are able to produce fine wines that give a pure expression of their beautiful vineyard and its terroir.
