Region: Burgundy
Variety: Pinot Noir
What's in the glass: This cuvée comprises four plots on the southern border of Vosne-Romanée, each aged between 15-80 years, covering a total surface area of 1.34 ha. The wine spends 18 months in barrel (30% new).
Mostly Aux Allots, with Bas de Combe. 30% new wood, 20% whole bunch vinification. A slightly darker purple than the Vosne, and indeed a darker register to the fruit. Solid chunky, more backward, good acidity as well as a light tannin, possibly whole bunches show a little more at the finish. Slight touch of orange rind. Drink from 2028-2034. 89-92 points - Jasper Morris, Inside Burgundy.
