What's in the glass: Brand new estate in the heart of Sampigny-les-Maranges in 2020, Domaine de Cassiopée is run by Talloulah and Hugo Mathurin who are working hard to make a mark on this under the radar appellation. Domaine de Cassiopée sits on the eastern end within close proximity to the premier cru vineyards. These grapes have two thirds from a four-year-old planting on limestone rock, the rest from vines on granitic rock. The two plots face each other on the ‘cold hill.’

A more vertical nose, vibrancy, accented by some barrel for this. Cushioned, lovely width and energy, the last flavours show more of the creamy barrel. Yum… Bill Nanson, Burgundy Report. 100% Chardonnay.
